Looking for a way to spice up your cream cheese? How about with a 4 Ingredient Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese?

If you don’t, I’m going to go ahead and recommend it as one of my favorite foodie shows. The premise is that four up-and-coming chefs, “have seconds to plan and 30 minutes to cook an amazing course with the basket of mystery ingredients given to them moments before the clock starts ticking.” This basket always includes 4 main ingredients that they must use in their courses. They do have access to a full kitchen, with many gadgets and equipment, along with miscellaneous pantry items.

But still, it’s a difficult task that’s thrilling to watch.

I like this idea of doing what you can with what you have. There are so many nights when I look in our fridge, freezer and pantry and pull together a random, last-minute meal with random, last-minute food items.

I have begun my very own 4-ingredient experimentation. You will see many more in the upcoming weeks! (Side note: there is an Amateur Chopped that I applied to be on. If I ever got a call from the producers I might just instantly die. The end of that story.)

Let’s start uber-simple today.

4 Ingredient Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese

4 Ingredient Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese

Serves: 3-4
  • 3 wedges of The Laughing Cow Smooth Sensations Classic Cream Cheese ⅓ Less Fat
  • ¼ cup pureed pumpkin
  • ¼ tsp Ghee Butter
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pack (or ½ tsp) Monkfruit
  1. Whip together the cream cheese and pumpkin (I did this by hand with a spoon, but you can do it however you want).
  2. Add in all other ingredients.
  3. Mix by hand until all ingredients are blended.
  4. Place in the fridge for an hour or two to cool.
The 4 main ingredients are the cream cheese, pumpkin, ghee and pumpkin pie spice. The vanilla extract and Monkfruit are just pantry items.
You can use whatever kind of butter you want, but know that the reason I chose Ghee Butter is that it tastes a little sweeter to me, and this is a sweet cream cheese.

This will smother anything perfectly. But just in case you need something amazing to smother it on, try it on my 4 Ingredient Pumpkin Chocolate Protein Balls.

  1. I love this recipe, Sarah! Have you ever tried the 2 ingredient pumpkin cake? It’s not gluten free, but so delicious – it’s been tested by harsh critics and passed 🙂 It’s canned pumpkin and moist cake mix (whichever flavor you like), bake, and garnish with favorite topping. To die for!

    1. Hey Gina! Thanks:) No, I’ve never tried it, but it sounds amazing. I cannot do anything that isn’t gluten free, but maybe I need to figure out a sub for that!
