[The following is Lindsey’s gut health story.]

I believe my gut and hormonal issues started in my early teens.

I can remember from an early age struggling with bloating, constipation, fatigue, acne, and painful period.

I was placed on birth control when I was 14….and it seemed like it was downhill from there.

I saw countless doctors as the years went on.

Medications seemed to be the only answer to my problems.

What I like to call bandaid after bandaid. Just Miralax initially.

But the  bloating, constipation, acne, joint pain, fatigue, painful periods… all continued.

At the age of 24 I received my first colonoscopy.

Only to be told it was IBS…. and was sent home with three medications (Miralax, Linzess, and colace).

That of which I was told to just “keep taking” with no end in sight.

Which didn’t and still doesn’t sit right with me.

When I inquired about other changes or things that might be helpful, the doctor didn’t have much of a reply.

Late 20’s

In my late 20s I started doing more and more research on my own.

Trying so many supplements.

Spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on supplements to help ease what I was experiencing.

Some symptoms resolved, if not just for a short while.

Fast forward to year 30 of my life

I gave birth to my son, who is now four years old.

Due to complications during childbirth and needing multiple surgeries, I was ultimately also placed on multiple rounds of antibiotics.

Antibiotics that only made my pre-existing symptoms worse.

Today

So here I am, now at almost 35, still searching for more permanent answers and solutions for what I have been dealing with over a decade.

Through Sarah’s program, The Quick Gut Detox I am hoping to achieve some relief.

Relief that will hopefully and ultimately bring back the quality of life I so desperately desire to have.

Not only for me, but for my little one too.
