Today is just some fun Motivation Monday The Weekly Release.
I get asked this a lot,
Where does your motivation come from?
Does it matter? Yes, because if we don’t understand intrinsic motivators how are we ever going to continue to self-motivate?
I thought I knew all my sources. Recently, little nuggets of motivation popped into my life. My cousin and BFF, Kim, started texting me various quotes, fitness motivators and pictures of my family back in Minnesota (all of which can be found below). Each day one of these came across, I was even more motivated and inspired.
Between my visual motivations and the added push from Kim, I realized I was well on my way to even brighter days.
I reserve Sundays for many things. And I have now added to the reservations: the weekly release. Sick! No, not that kind of weekly release – though, funny pun – and super appropriate for gutsy. My weekly release is where I upload all these photos to my computer, organize and label them into folders. It’s during this weekly release that I become even more motivated for the upcoming week.
Last week was filled with….
- food, good food, as usual (I have a fun dinner planned to tell you about this week)
- a 97% on my Institute for Integrative Nutrition exam (3 down, 1 to go!)
- workouts, workouts and more workouts – yes, Kim, keep sending the motivation for them:)
There was also….
- drinks and rodeos
- broken coffee and zen coffee
- a new Experience Life Magazine (an article on infertility this month – woooohooo!)
- pictures of family that melted my heart
And last, but not least, a simple reminder (again from Kim),
No matter how good or bad you think life is, wake up each day and be thankful for life. Someone somewhere else is fighting to survive.
I’m ready for you, Monday.

Lol, you crack me up.
Broken coffee and zen coffee? Are those brands?
Ha! No…my Keurig maker is “broken…” so not happy! And the other picture was from my zen local coffee shop:)
LOL! That’s funny, I was all over some new coffee brands.
Ha ha….I’d be down for that, too. Create our own? “Zen coffee.”
I love that last line. Someone else is fighting to survive. I know too many people undergoing treatment for horrible diseases to not appreciate what I have. Happy Monday. Excellent post.
It’s so true. We need to remember this while we’re caught up with our daily dailies! Have a great day, Carrie!
That is so fun that you and your cousin send pics like that to eachother! It is a great way to stay motivated and inspired! Pictures are worth a 1000 words!
Hi Mattie! Yeah, I used to put a lot of them under the, “Love” tab. But I think I’m going to rearrange that:)
Good job with the 97%! I just complete my second Nutrition course assignment! WoOT!
Looking forward to reading your weekly releases 🙂
Thanks, Kierston!
That last quote really hit home for me. Right now, I have a friend that is in a coma (he was in a car accident two weeks ago) and it really makes you realize how thankful you should be for every day you have. The fact that he is fighting for his life makes my problems seem so little and not important!
Thanks for posting the quote…great reminder! 🙂
I couldn’t agree more, Kelly! Thanks for stopping by:)
I LOVE this idea! I was a little concerned by the title. 😉
Thank goodness for Pinterest, making me feel creative every day. I need to make sure I’m finding good motivation right now too!
It’s so important, Meg:) Ha ha…I concerned myself with the title! Now I just need to get better at picture display and we will be well on our way:)
Such a wonderful and inspiring post!
Thanks, Nicole!
