Sauteed Swiss Chard and Kale with Fig

A simple, unprocessed side dish to add to any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • Swiss chard one bunch
  • kale several cups
  • 1/2 onion small, diced
  • 2 bulbs garlic minced
  • 9 figs finely chopped
  • olive oil to taste, for sauteeing
  • sea salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Chop up all ingredients.
  • Toss them in a pan.
  • Sauté over medium-low until they are cooked to your liking.

Notes

The figs I used in this recipe were the Turkish Smyrna Figs from Trader Joe's, which consist of just unsulfured Turkish figs). Alternatively, you can use Made In Nature Figs, which are amazing!
