Working on a brand like Activia and Actimel, I talk about gut health and probiotics every day. I admit that sometimes I thought that the stories I could tell to my consumer target were not so interesting... Couple of months ago, I took part to a marketing convention in LA and I got the honor to meet Sarah and to listen to her speech about "Gut health". I'd never ever thought this topic could be so interesting and engaging! Sarah is such a good speaker, enriching her deep scientific knowledge with her personal experience! I wish everyone to have the chance to listen to one of her amazing talks! Grazie, Sarah, you are so inspiring! - Elena Balta, Marketing manager Activia, Actimel & Kids - Italy & Greece presso Danone

WHY WORK WITH A GUTSY GIRL

PASSION SPARKED FROM THE JOURNEY

  • I am the face of the gut health and gut healing community.
  • My story is robust and easily communicated to ignite passion and inspiration.
  • I have traveled the same road as those I speak to.
  • My story includes life and death; healing and hurt; unsolved mysteries and forever light at the end of the tunnel.

GUT HEALTH & GUT HEALING

  • There is a vast difference between gut health and gut healing. I understand and preach it.
  • Understanding the difference between gut health and gut healing is imperative for brands and manufacturers who are truly interested in helping the Gutsy community.
  • After formal college, and getting a Marketing degree, I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and also became a Certified Holistic Health Coach (CHC).
  • I'm currently advancing that education with a 7-month Gut Health intensive course.

BUILDING A BRAND

  • Marketing background. I graduated from the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities with a degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, and English.
  • I worked in the natural foods industry from 2015 - late 2019 as a digital storyteller, food photographer, content creator, and Marketing Director prior to diving into A Gutsy Girl full-time (late 2019).
  • I've built the A Gutsy Girl brand from the ground up. The A Gutsy Girl Instagram is less than 3-years-old.
  • My brand includes no BS. I provide honest information and education for people on various points of their journey. The way I communicate it is simple, truthful, and digestible, something lacking in the space.

THE PROOF IS IN THE (GUT-HEALING GELATIN!) PUDDING

  • According to Globe Newswire, "The global digestive health products market is expected to grow at significant CAGR around 7% throughout the forecast period and reach around US$ 57 billion by 2026."
  • Prevalence of diagnosed gastrointestinal conditions in selected countries as of 2019: Brazil (19%), China (10%), Europe (21%), Japan (9%), Russia (12%), United States (22%).
  • According to Harvard Health, "Functional gastrointestinal disorders affect 35% to 70% of people at some point in life, women more often than men. These disorders have no apparent physical cause — such as infection or cancer — yet result in pain, bloating, and other discomfort."

When I am not giving back to the Gutsy community, you'll find me: writing on a more personal level at A Thyme for Milk and Honey, traveling, drinking lattes, reading my Bible and anything non-fiction, working out, and making our house in Southern Minnesota as close to my dream daily stay-cation as possible.

I am the mother to three adorable children, dog-mom to a Peekepoo, and wife to and incredible husband. Friends and family are my life, and my personal life motto is,

Everything is beautiful in its time.
