My One Word for 2014 has been set.
I took the My One Word challenge in 2013.
It consisted of, “Life Unprocessed.”
These were the goals from last year I shared with you.
I thought about my “big new goals” for 2014.
I was going to unleash some grand new awesome here – tell you about things I want to do and accomplish in 2014. (Side note: I still am. I still will share these things and also help you create your own….just not today.)
But then it hit me….
Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken.
2013 was amazing! I grew personally, professional and spiritually in ways that have changed my life. And I healed in a massive way – in a way like I never have before.
So why fix it if it ain’t broken?
Too many times in life we search to find the next shiny object. We aren’t in the place with bright green grass, so we convince ourselves that the grass is greener somewhere else. And so we make absurd goals and try to chase fast people, places, lifestyles and things and in return we find ourselves frustrated, discouraged and regressed from the place where we began. <– Sound like the common New Year’s Resolution?
I used to be “fad”-istic.
Now I just want to be realistic.
My life is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s an uphill climb, not a spiraling out-of-control downfall.
My One Word for 2014
What all of this means is, simply,
UNPROCESSED
This is what I will strive for (again and even more) in 2014.
Unprocessed by how I eat.
Unprocessed with how I play.
Unprocessed in how I love.
I’m carrying 2013 with me into 2014. My building blocks are strong. The foundation has been set.
I’m ready for you, 2014, and I’m personally inviting you along the wild, lovely and unprocessed journey.
Will you come? (Click HERE to share on Facebook, adopt the “Unprocessed” mantra and begin to have your world rocked!)
Xox,
SKH
You will heal. I will help.
Sounds like you’ve had a GREAT year! Awesome!
Absolutely!
this is the year for you.
I KNOW IT
I FEEL IT
I CANNOT WAIT.
Adoption finalized:) Praying for that!
Here’s to an UNPROCESSED year, Sarah! Happy New Year.
Thanks, Rachel! Cheers!
