The juicer is incredible for the Gutsy girl. Once you have one, you can make this Mean Green Juice recipe.

It’s not like I sit around and make juices all day. I’m also not an advocate of these juice detoxes that are so popular.

However, a great juice can really help your digestive system and/or it can help you get by during a flare up.

I have been adding in a juice about 1-2 times per week. I love the way they make me feel, since I typically use “detoxing/healing” ingredients in mine.

Here are the only ingredients you need:

  1. Green apple. I love this fruity addition. Since it’s a green apple, it keeps this juice not sweet at all. If you want some sweetness (and another color in addition to green), you could opt for a red apple.
  2. Cucumber. If seeds are a problem for you, deseed this prior to using.
  3. Lemon. I’m obsessed with all things lemon for the gut.
  4. Celery Stalks. I talk a ton about celery HERE.
  5. Ginger. Ginger is a natural prokinetic. Yes, it will give extra zing to your juice, but it’s great for digestion. Even small amounts can be beneficial.

A simple just green juice recipe to help with digestion.
Ingredients
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cucumber
  • ½ lemon
  • 3 celery stalks
  • small slice of ginger, optional (ginger is very healing, but it will definitely give this drink a “zing” that you might not enjoy)
Instructions
  1. Directions not needed. Simply chop up all ingredients into pieces that will fit into your juicer, place in juicer and bam -> beautiful green juice done.

  1. We just recently started juicing but so far I can’t handle any with kale, cucumber or celery. Right now we are loving fresh fruit juices (pineapple, apple, lemon, orange).

    Hubby talked me into the juicer as our Christmas gift, who knew he was interested? We keep experimenting, I do like it just not cleaning it every time lol

  2. I can’t wait to try this. I do love ginger b/c it helps me when I am in pain. I drink the ginger tea and ginger ale. So I would love to try it with ginger 🙂
