When I speak on foster adoption every single person in the room can feel the love and joy it has brought to my life. There is so much more to foster adoption than what 20/20 aired.

I am living proof, and so are many others.

Scroll to the bottom of this website, and you will notice a link for Join the “In Our Hearts” Private Facebook Community

This is a private group because the mission is to provide a safe place for adoption and foster adoption conversation.

It is for anyone who is considering adoption and beginning the process (of adoption or foster-to-adoption) to going through the process, waiting for the call, getting the call, bringing a child(ren) home, and acclimating to the “new” life.

The support from others who have been through it and/or who are going through it, I have found, is unparalleled in goodness. In fact, I’d argue that a network like this is critical, and I want to be the person to help facilitate my own community like this.

From a privacy standpoint, a huge goal of mine for the group is that it’s a safe place for honest, open discussion. The group’s settings are “Closed,” which means that anyone can find the group and see who’s in it, but only members can see posts.

  • The official web address for the group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/borninourhearts/
  • The official email address for the group is borninourhearts@groups.facebook.com (What that means is that, once you have been approved to join the group, you can simply email the group using this address, and it will show up as a post in the Facebook group. This is, as opposed, to directly posting in the group, should you choose to post in a different way.)
