101 days of blogging. It starts…..now with Defy Convention.

Hard work? Maybe. But when we continuously practice the things we love, it doesn’t seem like work at all.

Part of having and creating SMARTER goals includes making a plan. My ultimate goal is always to be a resource and source of inspiration and motivation for YOU.

You may not know this, but I was a part English major in college. Go ahead, laugh it up, since clearly this blog is not written with perfect English language, syntax or punctuation. Still, I promise I was.

The focus of my English major was “creative writing.” I love to write. Even more shocking to many; poetry was my favorite (click here for a glimpse).

I always hated my 3,4,5,000-level editing classes. I always loved the purely creative writing classes; fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I guess this makes sense, then, why the “English” part is never fully “on par!”

Each day, during one of my non-fiction creative writing classes, the Professor would say at the beginning of the lecture, “Here’s your title (xyz)….spend the next 15 minutes and just write. Don’t think too much about it. Just write.

Many of my best manuscripts began from those sessions. I carried those words – that exercise – with me always.

Defy Convention

“Do the healthy thing, even when it’s challenging, inconvenient or considered weird. Take pride in that.”

Back to the 101 days and this 101 days with a variable blog post title.

I am thankful, inspired and motivated by what I have read and learned through the 101 Revolutionary Ways to be Healthy. Because of that, I want to share them all with you; transfer this inspiration, motivation and healthy-lifestyle thinking to YOUR own life.

Experience Life and Revolutionary Act have given me a starting title. It’s up to me what I make of them.

This is just like life -> we are given titles, headlines, chapters. We create the content, the outcomes and the everyday “life” that falls within them.

And that is how I DEFY CONVENTION (yes, “defy convention” is #1 on the list). Even when things are challenging, inconvenient or considered weird, I take pride. Huge. Gigantic. Unparalleled pride.

SKH

  3. Okay, I have to say that this is AMAZING. I have already linked up. 😉 But anyways, I also do “Motivation Monday” and it is one of my favorite posts. There is nothing better than starting the week off right. And in regards to setting specific subjects for every day… this is a great idea. I want to do something similar with my blog once I become a bit more established. Still just posting and going and going and going right now. 🙂 I look forward to your 101 Day Challenge, and being a part of the GLORIOUS madness. And I would love to be a part of your Gutsy Girl Fridays (AMAZING IDEA!)

When push comes to shove, aren’t we all in this clean eating, fitness journey together? 🙂 #Gutsy

  4. I love the idea of blogging for 101 days. Although, I am a little late to the party, I did post Monday and Tuesday. I am going to join in the fun, and try to organize my posts into a plan – same type of topic on the same day of the week. I think this will really help jump start my bloggin. I look forward to reading your posts.
